    • Job Summary

      This position is responsible for the on-site leadership and management of field service crews and jobs at Xtek Precision Maintenance customers. This includes but is not limited to the growth and development of field service crew employees, the safe and on-time completion of field service jobs, the safety and productivity of the individuals assigned to the jobs, coordination of work with customer and sales force, leading and supporting projects and jobs when at the home shop, and ensuring company and customer processes are followed.

      Primary Responsibilities

      • Technical management of assigned field service accounts and jobs.
      • Working with sales force, establishing, and maintaining good customer relations at accounts.
      • Main technical point of contact for customer.
      • Lead field service crew at work sites and at home shop.
      • Organize and plan a safe and productive working atmosphere.
      • Assist field service scheduler in assigning crew members to jobs.
      • Check that crew members are equipped with proper PPE and gather any additional tooling or safety equipment to ensure the job is done safely, correctly, and on-time.
      • Answer questions crew members may have concerning job requirements or logistics.
      • Report any incidents or concerns to customer if required.
      • Continue to enhance personal skill sets through outside learning classes, formal training seminars, and hands-on opportunities.
      • Uphold all company and customer standards.
      • Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.

      Required Knowledge and Skillset

      • High mechanical aptitude and understanding of millwright requirements.
      • Good verbal and written communication skills.
      • Ability to lead and motivate others.
      • Willingness to travel and work at various customer locations.

      Experience

      • Minimum 10-years’ experience in mechanic and millwright field service role.
      • Experience working in steel and aluminum industry, particularly rolling mill areas.
      • Previous customer management experience a plus.

    • Job Summary

      This position is responsible for the assembly and dis-assembly of complex industrial components on-site at customer locations and fulfilling standard shop duties in the mechanic shop when not in the field. As an experienced mechanic, you will use your specialized skills and experience in mechanical systems and machinery to achieve the desired results. You will also play a critical role in the troubleshooting and resolution of complex mechanical issues, using your in-depth understanding of mechanical principles.

      Primary Responsibilities

      • Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
      • Assemble/Dis-assemble complex mechanical components.
      • Trouble shoot and make decisions to achieve the desired results.
      • Set bearings in accordance with OEM standards.
      • Safely use press equipment, torches, and overhead cranes/jib hoists.
      • Perform visual and dye penetrant inspections.
      • Perform gear teeth alignment.
      • Set up and run test gear drives.
      • Use correct torque for operation.
      • Use gear puller.
      • Use liquid nitrogen.
      • Operate parts washer.

      Required Knowledge, and Skillset

      • High mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
      • Ability to interpret blueprints and work from written or verbal instructions.
      • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
      • Ability to use precision measuring equipment. 
      • Knowledge of basic mechanic, machining, and welding functions.
      • Willingness to travel and work at various customer locations.

      Experience

      • Minimum 5-years’ experience or equivalent in a mechanic role.

    • Job Summary

      This position is responsible for assisting the account lead in the on-site field service management of field service crews and jobs.  This includes but is not limited to the safety and productivity of the individuals assigned to the leadman, ensuring production is completed on-time, safety and quality standards are upheld, and company processes are followed.  The individual selected for this role will report to their currently assigned supervisor in the mechanic/weld/machine shop  (or to one of these supervisors if not currently in one of these departments) and will still be required to fulfill shop duties when not in the field.

      Primary Responsibilities

      • Perform work duties when in the shop or in the field
      • Uphold all company and customer standards when working in the shop or in the field
      • Lead field service crew in the absence of (or as required by) the account lead
      • Assist account lead with assignment of proper crew members for associated job 
      • Organize and plan a safe and productive working atmosphere for field service crew members
      • Communicate with account lead on field service job status and priorities
      • Check that crew members are equipped with proper PPE and gather any additional tooling or safety equipment to ensure job is done safely, correctly, and on-time
      • Answer questions crew members may have concerning job requirements or logistics
      • Report any incidents or concerns to account lead or customer if required
      • Continue to enhance personal skill sets through outside learning classes, formal training seminars, and hands-on opportunities
      • Perform duties as assigned by supervisor or account lead
